Consumer Awareness: Making Informed Choices About Disposable Cups

The effects cups take on the planetAs conscious consumers, it is our duty to be aware of what disposable cups are doing to the planet. The majority of disposable cups are manufactured using paper or plastic. This means every time we throw them out it goes to a landfill, the ocean only to sit for hundreds of years. This enables them to reside in these areas for an extended period. Well on top of that, building by cups uses gas, trees and oil to make these cups plus generates air pollution which can lead to a worse air quality. Intlpack is here to help you.

Cups-Health Hazards

These disposable cups and the impact they have on our planet helps us visualize how big of a problem we face by using single use products.

Consider the vast number of disposable coffee cups we use! We Are Using 60 Billion Paper Cups and PLA Plastic Cup Annually In The USA Alone That is a lot of cups! Therein lies the rub, as a scant few of these cups actually succeed. Of that, most of it goes straight in the landfills which is where we put our trash. As the plastic lining inside these cups is deemed unusable, it will take 30 years for its specific type of trash to decompose and by that time, we would be in heaven all things going well.  And the process manufacturing of paper cups will hurt are trees because we cut a tree to make paper, so our forest has less trees.

Cups-Health Hazards

Even cups are bad for our health folk, so be aware of using disposable cups. The inside of most paper cups and plastic cup could have been with anything from a concoction or toxic chemicals to make-a where appreciation. These can pose serious health hazards, only not for Gluten Allergy affected. Some plastics cups even carry a substance referred to as BPA, proven having much health consequences. On the base we drink all this, otherwise it is very harmful to health.

How a Cup Can Help You Make Better Decisions

Although using the disposable paper cups and cup lids plastic recycle is not good for our health and also for the sake of the environment but anyway we are given right to practice options with a wise way. A good option instead of disposable mugs is reusable cups (possibly glass, ceramic or stainless steel). Unlike the original Slinky, this Slim Tube can be used and reused for many times, hence less waste to save our precious natural resources. Shit, some boutiques even offer discounts if you bring your own reusable cup— just imagine.

So, for that matter instead of a choice for reusable cups we can also take the option to go with biodegradable cups. The cups themselves are biodegradeable, and will also degrade faster when thrown in to landfills than typical plastic or paper cups would. Although still would need to disposed of the proper way, it would be better for the environment than letting non-biodegradable cups remain in existence indefinitely. So picking up cups of this kind means, we are saving a lot garbage in our country.

Changing Coffee Culture

I do not need to tell you that disposable cups are getting more and more press than ever before, and it is changing how we drink coffee — or anything else, right? Another is the rise of coffee shops offering discounts to customers who bring their own reusable mugs, motivating people to get one. One coffee chain even said they would get rid of single-use cups altogether, which is a huge eco-positive. Online shops have been able to make the impact on their community by promoting eco- friendly businesses.
